7 Gluten-Free Tailgate Snacks
Not being able to pig out on anything and everything when your friends invite you over to watch the big game has to be one of the biggest downsides of giving up gluten. But that’s a sacrifice you have to make, right? Nope, not when you have Mikey’s! We came up with a few suggestions that we’re confident will please everyone at the tailgate, gluten-free diet or not.
1. Gluten-Free Pigs in a Blanket
Have you been missing good old mini hot dogs wrapped in pastry dough since you cut out gluten? Snuggle those dogs in a toasty Mikey’s Grain-Free Tortilla blanket instead and you’re back in business! Serve ‘em with Applegate Organics Uncured Beef Hot Dogs and Primal Kitchen Organic Unsweetened Ketchup if you want to keep everything paleo.

2. Baked Tortillas and Guacamole
It’s not a party without the chips and dip! And there’s nothing better than homemade chips—grain-free, of course. They’re easy to make and even easier to eat. Whip up a fresh homemade guac while the chips are baking in the oven and you’ll be ready to feast in no time.
3. Loaded Ground Turkey Nachos
“I’m not in the mood for nachos,” said no one ever. Using ground turkey for the protein keeps them lean without sacrificing flavor, and making chips from Mikey’s Grain-Free Tortillas makes them extra delicious. Pile on the beans, cheese, jalapenos, tomatoes and whatever else your heart desires for a crowd-pleasing snack.
4. Party Skewers
Bite-sized chunks of veggies, fruit, cheese and cold cuts come together to make irresistible snacking skewers. Of course, Mikey’s Grain-Free English Muffins steal the show as teeny tiny, toasty cream cheese sandwiches—no judgement if you want to make a skewer that’s 100 percent Mikey’s!

5. Oven-Baked Zucchini Sticks
Breaded zucchini sticks go gluten-free with this DIY Mikey’s version. Our Grain-Free English Muffins can be transformed into gluten-free breadcrumbs with a few pulses in a food processor, and they bake up wonderfully crisp—perfect for dipping in Blue Top Coconut Milk Ranch Dressing.
6. Mikey’s Gluten-Free Pizza Bites
It doesn’t get easier than this: Heat up some Mikey’s Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza Pockets, slice them into small pieces and you’ve got instant gluten-free pizza bites. We suggest adding football-themed decorative toothpicks to them for a fun touch!
7. Spicy BBQ Chicken Quesadilla
Quesadillas are one of our favorite appetizers—they’re simple to make, and you can easily slice them up for a crowd. This recipe uses meat straight off a rotisserie chicken (super easy!) sandwiched between two crispy Mikey’s Grain-Free Tortillas. They’ll be gone before the game starts!
